My channel showcases live band performances. I began with 65 cell phone videos I needed to get off my phone and now I use a 4K camera when permitted. I capture the energy and excitement of live shows, bringing the concert experience to your screen. I sporadically post YouTube Shorts of Old Wisconsin Guy singing his favorite tunes. Despite being an amateur, he loves singing, which was honed over 25+ years of karaoke. These Shorts are a fun side project, highlighting his passion and joy for music. I love music from the '70s and '80s and some newer tunes. I also enjoy '50s and '60s songs and have a soft spot for classic and prime country. My channel reflects this diverse taste, offering something for every old music lover. I grew up on '70s AM radio and classic rock. Hello, my name is Abraham Myers, and I am the Picking Pythagorean. The Picking Pythagorean is a channel for all who love music of any kind. It is dedicated to the teaching and understanding of music in all its forms, and to the study of the very vibrations that make up the architecture of our universe and spirit. Pythagoras was one of the first to study the numbers and music of the universe. By starting with one note, finding its fifth, and then taking that note and finding its fifth, he discovered the twelve tone system we use today. Pythagoras believed that the universe itself was built on these harmonious vibrations. Those who studied with him were called Pythagoreans. Therefore, we begin a new chapter in the search for the fundamental building blocks of the universe. I leave you with a quote from Pythagoras himself: “There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres.”
